CSAC is a student-run committee of chemistry majors who advise the Department on its curriculum and related matters, as well as sponsoring a variety of social and chemistry-related activities. Members of the committee also advise potential majors and incoming first year students on course selections. The organization of the committee is overseen by their advisor, Professor Kerry-Ann Green, but the operation of the committee is entirely in the hands of the chemistry majors themselves.
Examples of CSAC’s events include:
- Tuesday Night Meeting and Snacks
- Involvement in the hiring of new faculty
- Chemistry major socials
- Conversations with Chemistry faculty
