Chemistry Student Advisory Committee (CSAC)

CSAC is a student-run committee of chemistry majors who advise the Department on its curriculum and related matters, as well as sponsoring a variety of social and chemistry-related activities. Members of the committee also advise potential majors and incoming first year students on course selections. The organization of the committee is overseen by their advisor, Professor Bob Rawle, but the operation of the committee is entirely in the hands of the chemistry  majors themselves.

Examples of CSAC’s events include:

  • Tuesday Night Meeting and Snacks
  • Involvement in the hiring of new faculty
  • Chemistry major socials
  • Conversations with Chemistry faculty
